Cris Harris teaches writing and experiential education at an independent school outside of Cleveland, Ohio. His essays and poems have appeared recently in The Flexible Persona, Alice Blue Review, Proximity, Skylark Review, New South, Rogue Agent, and The Gambler, and are forthcoming at Cleaver Magazine. A long time ago he studied fiction at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, but discovered that all his best stories, like this one, are true.
